As you have probably already noticed the diagram to the left is a punnet square. Punnet squares
are used as a way to set the genes of the parents and find out the probability of traits their offspring
will have.
The genotypes for a selcted gene from the mother and father are set in the top and side of this diagram.
Then the diagram is filled according to what two genes meet. This can be later interpreted as information
in percents.
In this particular punnet square, B stands for brown hair gene and b for red hair gene.
- Homozygout Dominant in 25%, represented as BB. (Brown hair)
- Heterozygous Dominant in 50%, represented as Bb. (Brown hair)
- Homozygous Recessive in 25%, represented as bb. (Red hair)
